Ledger contains balanced accounts with individual land purchasers under the land purchase credit system (July 23, 1814-March 5, 1819). Each account lists purchaser name and residence; tract legal description; payment dates and causes; and credit allowance. Payments consisted of initial land purchase payments; subsequent installment or interest payments; and preemption claims.
